Watching footage of the ICE kidnappings was making so upset. I caught myself feeling really helpless and powerless. And then I remembered I am neither of those things.
I remembered that actually there are organizations all over the country doing amazing work to advocate for and provide services to immigrants/migrants/asylum seekers. And that many accept volunteers. And I felt better.
So I made a site where you type in your skills and zip code and get connected with local and national orgs that need volunteers like you.
We’re not powerless. We’re not helpless. We’re all capable of contributing.
